- Each mentee is selected from an East Early administrator or teacher. A new student can volunteer themselves to be mentees.
- Mentor/Mentee meeting should be at least 15 minutes. Topics to talk are: Grades, Organizational/Study Habits, Clubs, Naviance, Tutoring, etc. If the meeting is none of the above, then the mentor must write on the meeting sheet the purpose of the meeting.
- If the mentor/mentee is absent during the scheduled meeting date/time, then both are responsible to reschedule.
- Officers must attend all meetings (officers and regular).
- Meetings will be held on Fridays (every other week) during lunch.
- Mentors/Mentees should meet every two weeks or a minimum of two meetings a month.
- If for any reason a mentor/mentee have mutual differences or can't meet then both parties should talk it over with the officers and Mr. Estrada.
- Mentor/Mentee should have meetings during their own time on school grounds
- The mentees should give reflection paper of what they thought of their mentor and how beneficial and impactful it was for them, or give advice/suggestions on what they would like to see improved for the next semester. If we do this, we will be able to serve the underclassmen and help them meet their full potential in order for them fully succeed their first year. This also helps the mentors see what they need to improve or change, so that they can help their mentees to the best of their abilities.
